At a dry weight of 180kg and engine weighing only 62kg, that lightweight powerplant sends 170 hp and a torque of 123 nm to the rear wheel. And the best of all is that these specifications are for the basic KTM RC8 1190 R.
The engine is Liquid cooled, four stroke, 75degree V-twin cylinder, DOHC (Double Over Head Cam, 4 valves per cylinder and the new one delivers 10 hp more.

The 2010 KTM RC8 R Akrapovic & Red bull Editions are priced at $23,998 / € 24,698, and feature the RC8 R's underpinnings along with special graphics and one hell of a on-track exhaust sound.
The bad thing is that those bikes are very limited only 100 pieces are being made from both Red Bull and Akrapovic replica, and they are available for immediate order directly from the KTM dealer.
